The pursuit of perfection in a personal ride has always been Kentaro’s state of mind. People call him a wheel whore because of the many wheels he’s gone through, but I see it as trial and error. He never found the right set of rims until now, which I agree with him look spot on with his ride. Now let me introduce to you, Kentaro’s xB…Inspired by the VIP culture in Japan, Kentaro put his inspirations into the xB from the Junction Produce Fusa to the chrome brushed rear bumper cover.

If you’re wondering what wheels these are, they are fully polished Borbet Type A. These wheels are mostly seen in the Euro tuning scene, but Kentaro managed to pull it off on his xB while looking pretty unique. Kentaro is currently scraping the crap out of his front lip on the daily. His car looks insane when rolling. What I really love about Kentaro’s style of tuning is the recurring polished theme from rear bumper covers, wheels and door handles. I love it when it all comes together to make a great looking ride. Cusco camber plates help the xB bring out the negative camber that is hard to achieve on stock suspension.

What a weekend!!! I can’t seem to describe this huge show hosted by team Sumospeed better than by saying WOW! I had a great time at the show, which had many team appearances from around the Mid-Atlantic including ISO, XCLUSIV:Alliance, and many others. I had the chance to also spend some time with many of our friends from down south who showed us some amazing hospitality and some very tasty BBQ.

In the Neck of the Woods

Last week I wrote a quick post introducing Archie’s Slammed STI and today I finally get to finalize his first ever feature! I got lucky to find this car through Instagram while scrolling down my news feed. I say lucky because Archie tells me he hasn’t taken the car out much in a while and someone happened to catch his car while he was driving at a local car meet. I sent him an email after someone gave me his contact information and voilà! we got together to do the following shoot.

Let me talk about the location we picked first. I have been driving by this spot for a long time and always thought it would be a nice place to shoot but wasn’t sure if my car, or anyone else for who is slammed, would make it through the gravel roads. Well, I spoke to Archie about it and we decided to give it a shot; obviously we made it all the way in to where I had planned to take photos so the gravel wasn’t as bad as I originally thought.

Archie’s STI has a ton of very special modifications, ranging from his very unique style carbon fiber trunk and rear diffuser set-ups, to his staggered, yet properly fitted, fully polished CCWs, all the way down to his aggressive Cusco front lip. The attention to detail in this ride is unique and can’t be easily found in today’s car mod frenzy.

Archie took his time and dedication in making sure his dream machine was modded to his liking, sporting a rare list of parts, yet maintaining a very tasteful overall appearance to the car.

I want to thank Archie and his family for allowing me to spend some time shooting the car, and although I wish I would’ve spent many more hours shooting the many details the car has to offer, I think the photos can speak for themselves when it comes to admiring the quality of the build Archie has accomplished.

All Team Bash / Mayday Garage Meet

So every year there is All Team Bash in Houston. One of the biggest meets of the year because it is where all the teams can come together and just have fun. A big thanks to Team Sunworks for throwing it every year and giving back to the automotive community. They don’t make any money off of this and just do it for the love and passion of cars. It is open to the entire public and is just a time to unwind at the park and check out what Houston has to offer. I showed up a bit late and only got to snap a few pictures before leaving.

There was a post meet at Liberty Station that was held by Mayday Garage, one of the biggest, if not the biggest, automotive blog in Houston. They threw a last minute meet that involved cars, food, alcohol and Big Trouble in Little China. Needless to say, everyone had a great time and it was great seeing old and new faces.

Since I was showing my Lexus LS400 at this show, I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to cover this event, and also scout around for new features. I met a lot of cool people and had a blast, but of course you cannot forget the sunburn you get at every outdoor car event. yaayyyy……

So those of you who aren’t from so. cal, you may be wondering what kinda Toyota’s are here? Well…. everything! You name it, Toyotafest has it. I walked around this event about 4 times to make sure i didn’t miss any nice cars, hence the part 1 of 3 I will be sharing.

Also, keep in mind not all cars are fitment specific, i just snapped pics of cars that stood out to me overall. (ie: lifted Tundras and 4 Runners, classics, work in progress cars, etc.) Here we go:

It’s not surprising to see scrapers on 22′s or lifted donks in Oakland. Sunny’s slammed Datsun 240z is something you would not normally see there. He’s been working on it for the past 4 years fitting it with an awesome set of Work Equip 03′s. He’s actually the first person I’ve seen running the black lip versions from Work wheels in a wide 15×9 -16 front and 15×10 -28 rear. Wrapped in Yokohama S-Drive 195/50 front and Falken Ziex912 205/50 rears. All suspension components by Techno Toy Tuning with Tokico HTS front shocks for an AE86.

What’s up everyone!? My name is Sebastian, this is my very first post! I want to thank Mark and Joshua for giving me this huge opportunity, and allowing me to be part of a great family. I am very honored to be part of Hellaflush and cannot wait to show everyone what the east coast movement is about!!!

As I mentioned above, I’m located on the East coast; more specifically in the Washington D.C. area. I am originally from Colombia, South America (not Columbia lol) and moved here when I was finishing high-school. I became very interested in being slammed and fitting my car properly after I began modding my Acura RSX through college. As well as photography, my other hobby, my interest in the car culture and modding came slowly and with plenty of research to find what I think looks good on my car.

Now onto some PHOTOS!

I saw this car on an Instagram post while scrolling through my news feed. I didn’t have the opportunity of attending a local show over the weekend but wanted to catch up on some of the better cars, and see what I missed out on and eventually boom! Archie’s car popped up…I got in contact with him and met up tonight to check out the car in person. I knew it was a great looking Suby from the Instagram snap, but when I saw it in person I knew I had to feature him.

Archie has had his car for a long time, and after dealing with some issues while acquiring some of his very unique mods, he finally ended up where he is today; sitting beastly.
